Five centuries

The Castello del Capitano delle Artiglierie was born in 1564 as a Medici fortress within the ideal city of Terra del Sole, commissioned by Cosimo I to protect the border between Romagna and Tuscany. Today those same walls, restored with care and love, hold another kind of alliance: yours.
We welcome you the way you'd welcome friends. Here, every wedding is written by hand, amid the scent of linden trees in the courtyard, the golden light filtering through the loggias, and the warm quiet of the historic halls.

Terra del Sole is a perfect square, a town designed in the 16th century to be ideal. The castle is its heart. When we organise a wedding, we do it the way you would for a friend: few rules, plenty of care, one event a day, all the time you need.
